My scientific interests are guided by a desire to put an end to brain aging and Alzheimer’s disease. To that end, I plan to combine organic synthesis with mass spectrometry-based proteomics to study (1) drug delivery across the blood-cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) barrier, (2) protein aggregation across the brain proteome during aging, and (3) targeted brain-specific degradation of extracellular proteins.
